There was some discussion a while back about how your dogs act towards the stock when not herding them.
This lamb was born the 9th. He will be the only fall lamb. The ewe flock currently has the run of about 15 acres and I had intended to leave him and his mom out grazing and just tag him in the field. Well, when I went to find him he wasn't with mom. I was afraid he was dead. No, she had him stashed away, but I brought him up to the barn and I now have mom penned with him until he is a bit bigger and not being left somewhere he could get picked up by a bird. So, if you don't want to see a lamb being ear tagged and tail banded, don't watch, but he really took it pretty well.
